I am not a native of the Loire valley but have been living here for 28 years and I quickly realised that the peaceful life of the Loire region suited me perfectly.

When you go to visit the château de Chambord, stop on your way at the village, Huisseau sur Cosson. I have been living ther for 4 years now in an old, typical farmhouse. From there, by bike or on foot, we could visit the Cosson,(a tributary of the Loire) and catch a magnificent view of the château des Grotteaux and its mills. I will tell you the story of the "fountain and the hermit Saint My".

For those who are tempted by local french cuisine, we can do some tasting; and, of course, if you so wish, you will go away with the recipes in hand.
